One adult and two children were rescued from an apartment fire in Hutchinson Monday afternoon.
Fire crews were called at around 4:30 p.m., to the 300 block of E. 1st for a reported appliance fire. As they arrived they observed smoke coming from a second story apartment. Fire crew made an aggressive attack on the second floor to stop the fire from spreading
Meanwhile, search crews rescued an adult man and two children from the apartment. They were treated for non-life-threatening injuries and transported to an area hospital.
A damage estimate has not been released and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
