Sand that filled up a skate park in San Clemente was meant to keep people away during the coronavirus shutdown.

But it's attracted a different crowd now - dirt bikers.

Connor Ericsson and some friends showed up at Ralph's Skate Park recently for some runs and even cleared out some sand in one area so skateboarders could do what he called some "social shredding."

He filmed the dirt bike riding and skateboarding and posted it on Instagram and YouTube.

Ericsson told a television station in San Diego kids are cooped up and just want to have some fun.

Parks run by the city are closed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
