(KNX 1070) -- Legendary designer and founder of BCBGMaxAzria, Max Azria, has died at 70.

The Tunisian-born designer moved to the U.S. after living and working in Paris for over a decade. In 1989 he launched his first BCBG Max Azria Runway collection based on his 1986 New York Fashion Week 1996 collection.
In 2008, he created BCBGeneration, a line dedicated to a younger demographic of women.
Azria is survived by his wife, Lubov Azria, creative director at BCBGMaxAzria Group, and his six children, son Michael and daughters Chloe, Marine, Agnes, Anais and Joyce.
