LOS ANGELES (KNX) — A 13-year-old girl was wounded in a shooting Sunday night in Los Angeles' Lake View Terrace neighborhood, according to police.
Officers responded to a local hospital around 8:30 p.m. Sunday regarding a young shooting victim, according to the LAPD.
Officers learned the girl had observed a sedan slowing down in the 11700 block of Kagel Canyon Street and approached the vehicle when a male inside fired one round at her, police said.
She was reportedly taken to a hospital by paramedics, according to City News Service. Police said she was in stable condition as of Monday morning.
It wasn't immediately clear if the shooting was gang related or if the girl knew the shooter. No arrests have been made.
