Man diagnosed with dementia missing in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (KNX) — The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing 79-year-old man who suffers from dementia.

Joaquin Lopez was last seen at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of North Manhattan Place, according to police.

Lopez’s family told police he suffers from dementia, hypertension, and high blood pressure, and they are concerned for his safety because he needs his medicine.

Lopez is described as having a medium build and a dark complexion. He has brown hair, brown eyes, stands 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighs about 180 pounds.

Anyone with information about Lopez’ whereabouts is asked to contact the LAPD’s Olympic Community Police Station at (213) 382-9027.
