Police looking for driver who fatally struck 70-year-old man, $50K reward offered

LOS ANGELES (KNX) — A $50,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the driver who fatally struck a 70-year-old man in a Los Angeles crosswalk.

The hit-and-run happened at 9:35 p.m. Jan. 27 at the intersection of Manchester and Van Ness avenues.

Police said the victim, identified by authorities as Adolph Lyons , was walking across Manchester Avenue in a marked crosswalk when a truck hit him.

The truck was traveling east on Manchester Avenue and made a left onto northbound Van Ness Avenue when it hit the man, police said.

The driver fled north on Van Ness Avenue, failing to stop, police added. The victim died from his injuries.

The suspect's truck a dark colored, early model truck with tinted windows.
