DALLAS (KRLD) - Dallas police have issued an Amber Alert for a missing boy this afternoon.

Police and the FBI are looking for 18-month-old Cedrick Jackson. He was last seen at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday morning on Whitehurst Drive.

Authorities say the boy had been recently placed in the temporary custody of an aunt, and she put him down to sleep after 11 p.m. She woke up this at 6 a.m. and the child was gone.

A witness thought they saw a relative take the child overnight. Police found that man but say he does not have the child. Police have yet to identify him but say he's in the Keller jail on unrelated warrants. Police are calling him a 'person of interest'.

Jackson has black braided hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a diaper.

Police believe the little boy may be in danger.

This is a developing news story.
