DALLAS (KRLD) - It's Valentine's Day, a day to celebrate love and romance, but with more than half the marriages in the US ending in divorce you have to wonder, are we doing something wrong?

Dallas matchmaker Makenna Maness says yes. Maness is the owner of Mint Matchmaker and she says dating apps are not the way to find true love. She says you need a more personal touch, and that's where she comes in.

"I'm always talking to people, and I'm telling you it's hard out there because people don't feel safe" says Maness.  She says single people are always telling her  " they need someone to refer them ".

Maness says she gets to know her clients, does background checks and a little coaching before she puts a match together. Her mission,   "I want to bring love and courtship back." Finding the right match might take some time according to Maness but she says it's worth it if  you are truly looking for a long, loving relationship.
