FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A Fort Worth father is facing several charges this morning after two of his kids were accidentally shot.
According to reports, 27-year-old Moses Olguin was arrested last week following the investigation into the June 27th shooting inside the home on Sanborn Street.
Police say a 7-year-old girl was looking for markers when she found a gun in a box in the laundry room. She showed it to her 10-year-old cousin. When the girl's 6-year-old brother tried taking the gun, he pulled the hammer back.
Police say when the 10-year-old took it back, her finger slipped onto the trigger, causing it to fire.
The two younger kids were hit and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Officer Jimmy Pollozani says parents must be diligent about keeping guns locked up, and away from kids.
Olguin is free on bond.
