ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD) - Arlington voters will not have a say about the city's term limits ordinance this November.

The Arlington City Council will not vote on including a term limits revision measure on the November ballot.

Under current law, which voters passed by nearly two-to-one two years ago, the mayor and city council members are bound to a lifetime limit of three, two-year terms.

The city assembled a Term Limits Advisory Committee, which has recommended that to be changed to four, two-year terms followed by a two-year break and no lifetime maximum.

Arlington voters would have the final say in the matter, and the city says it's unknown exactly when that will happen.
