DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The city of Dallas cited a popular Katy Trail bar for trying to reopen as a restaurant, not a bar.
The Katy Trail Ice House opened on Friday, the day Texas Governor Greg Abbott's executive order said restaurants could reopen with a limited capacity of at least 25%.
According to reports, the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) defines Katy Trail Ice House as a bar, not a restaurant, because it makes more than 50 percent of its revenue from sales of alcohol.
After getting the citation on Friday, Katy Trail went back to servinig curbside to-go orders only on Saturday.
The Facebook page for the Katy Trail Ice House says it will reopen the dining room on May 18th.
