For the first time since March, the Dallas Community Police Oversight Board met to discuss all things DPD.

The board members heard from Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson, who vowed to support any changes to policy they believe will help Dallas police better serve the entire community.


The board also heard from citizens who are concerned about what they have seen between protesters and police.

The oversight office has received more than 150 complaints over the police response to protesters on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge.

More than 600 people were detained but charges were not filed against any arrested.

The board voted unanimously to request that the Dallas Police Monitor have "unfettered access to data in the police department" as it pertains to civilian complaints.
