NORTH RICHLAND HILLS (1080 KRLD) - Police in North Richland Hills are looking for a man who groped a teenaged girl.
The attack happened on February 10th in the area of the North Electric Trail and Susan Lee Lane.
Police spokeswoman Carissa Katekaru says the man asked the girl for a hug.
"She did decline, but he moved closer to her and touched her inappropriately, and then he took off running," says Katekaru.
And now, police need your help in identifying the man and finding him.
"He's a white male in his 20s," says Katekaru. "He has sandy-colored hair that is longer on top. He's reportedly got some scruffy facial hair, and has an alleged lazy eye affecting his left eye."
Just before the attack, a man matching that description was captured on video.
"He walked by the Ring doorbell camera that did happen to catch him," Katekaru says. "That is believed to be our person of interest in the case."
Police are urging people in the area to remain vigilant.
"This is generally a very safe area, but this goes to show that we're not immune to any type of incidents like these happening," Katekaru says, "and we do encourage people to be aware of their surroundings and contact us if they see anything that seems out of the ordinary or see any type of suspicious activity."
For now, police have beefed up their presence in the area.
"We have extra patrols in the area and along the trail, just to keep an eye out and just to help keep everyone safe."
