FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Police say they have identified two people involved in a shooting at a Pee Wee football game Saturday. They have issued arrest warrants for the two, but they have not released their names.
Parents say a group of people got into an argument in the stands during the game at Eastern Hills High School. They say one woman called her adult son who came to the field with a gun and started shooting.
Fort Worth ISD says one woman was shot, and a 12 year old girl was injured when people started running from the stands.
"It was a senseless act. It was a crazy act," says Jamee Kneeland, the woman who was shot.
Kneeland is now recovering; the girl was treated and released at the scene.
Monday evening, the team's coach met with players and parents.
"The one thing I want everybody to know is it's okay to not be okay," Coach Kevin Watson told the group.
Fort Worth police say they have issued arrest warrants for the man they say fired the shots and his mother. The warrant for his mother is for making a terroristic threat.
Neither had been arrested by Tuesday morning.
