Offering everything from groceries to gasoline discounts, Walmart has officially launched its Walmart+ (plus) subscription service, which is designed to compete with Amazon Prime.
For a fee of $98 annually, or $12.95 a month, Walmart+ gives subscribers unlimited free delivery on purchases over $35.
There is no additional charge for same-day deliveries, and Plus members get a 5 cent per-gallon fuel discount at Walmart and Murphy USA gas stations.
In comparison, Amazon Prime goes for $119 a year or $12.99 a month.
While its delivery benefits may not be as generous as Walmart+, Prime users do have access to Amazon's extensive video content.
Pssssssssst. Have you heard? -- Walmart+ helps you get more out of life. Start your free trial now to get free unlimited deliveries, member prices on fuel, and mobile scan & go. Pass it on! See membership details. $35 minimum delivery order. Restrictions apply. #WalmartPlus
