ARLINGTON (1080 KRLD) - Arlington water crews are still working to repair a large water main break on the south side of town.
Late Wednesday afternoon, the water started gushing on Sublett Road near Calendar, just down the block from Stovall Park.
The intersection was quickly flooded and the city has closed Sublett in both directions.
This morning, Arlington water utilities says crews have made progress overnight but it's only meant to be a short-term fix.
Meanwhile, Sublett Road is closed in both directions between Calender & Bowen. The city says it likely won’t reopen until this afternoon at the earliest.
More work on the 20-inch line will be required soon.
