DENTON (KRLD) - Judith Streng and her son Rod Streng, both of Denton County took a trip to the Nordic nation last week, just after Judith celebrated her 77th birthday.
One of the 30 people in the tour group just happened to be a boat captain from Florida who knew water rescue. He waded in because Judith didn't want to get her feet wet.
Rod says it was 42 degrees at that beach, warmer than it is here.
Headlines blared, "tourist on iceberg gets swept out to sea" ... and now Judith has been dubbed the Iceberg Queen. She's quoted as saying "Being so popular is wild."
