DALLAS, TX (KRLD) - The U.S. Secretary of State stopped in Texas Monday on his way from South America to Washington. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spent several days in South America with the leaders of Chile, Colombia, Paraguay and Peru.

Pompeo says they were talking about how to deal with the regime in Venezuela he says is working more closely with Iran, saying "The leadership in Iran continues to export terrorism, using their dollars to support Maduro and Venezuela while people are suffering inside of their own country."

Pompeo also says he's talking with leadership in Central America to stop migrant caravans. He says the U.S. has sent hundreds of millions of dollars in aid, but that has not led to stronger economies or better infrastructure in Central America.
