Wrong-Way Driver Sentenced To 15-Years For Fatal Forney Crash

KAUFMAN (1080 KRLD) - A Terrell man has admitted to being the driver of an SUV in a wrong-way, drunk driving accident that killed a man.

It hapened on May 29th. Forney Police Department started lighting up with reports of an erratic driver. Before police could find the SUV, Kyle Lee Bradshaw had taken a wrong turn and was going east in the westbound lanes of US 80. He ran square into a motorcycle.

The bike exploded into flames and 57-year old Gary Thorp of Garland was killed.

Bradwhaw was arrested for intoxication manslaughter.

In a pre-trial hearing, Bradshaw has now pleaded guilty to manslaughter and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Court papers say he is to be sentenced to 15-years in prison later this month.
