One of the biggest annual attractions across DFW kicks off Thursday in Addison.
Oktoberfest is one of a handful of events the Town of Addison puts on throughout the year.
Like the Town's famed Kaboomtown, Oktoberfest takes place at Addison Circle Park.
Mary Rosenbleeth with the Town of Addison says they love hearing the stories of people who met at the event.
"We've been doing this for almost 40 years," Rosenbleeth said. "We've had the great honor of being part of many memories for people throughout North Texas."
They have their fan-favorite Dachshund Dash on Sunday.
There are different deals and packages for the event which runs through Sunday.
"We have got multiple stages of music, we've got amazing German beer," Rosenbleeth said. "We've got a great setup of Texas-brewed Oktoberfest beers."
They will also have a competition surrounding the Texas-brewed beers involving judges on Friday.
With the new Silver Line, this year organizers can also finally encourage people to take DART if they want to.
