After airlines canceled more than 1,800 flights on Thursday at North Texas airports, carriers will be looking to get back on track on Friday.

At DFW Airport, airlines canceled 1,576 flights on Thursday -- more than half of the canceled flights nationwide. Many of the flights that did make it out were delayed, as there was a ground stop at the airport for several hours Thursday afternoon.

"Due to the outgoing winter storm, the airlines and other partners will be catching up today," DFW Airport wrote on X.

Thursday at Love Field, 274 flights were canceled and 61 were delayed.

As of 7 a.m. Friday, more than 400 flights had been canceled at DFW Airport with 96 more at Love Field.
