Drivers in Dallas will face a major traffic disruption this weekend as all lanes of Interstate 30 close between Interstate 35E and Interstate 45 as part of ongoing construction work, transportation officials say.
The full closure is scheduled to begin late Friday night and last through early Monday morning, with traffic detoured onto Woodall Rodgers Freeway and nearby surface streets.
The shutdown is tied to work on the I-30 Canyon project, a long-term effort to rebuild aging infrastructure through the downtown corridor. During the closure, crews are set to complete work that cannot be safely done while traffic is moving, including roadway reconstruction and bridge-related improvements.
