Allen ISD parents file motion for restraining order over COVID-19 protocols

The parents who are suing the Allen School District over a lack of coronavirus protocols have filed their motion for a restraining order.

In a filed declaration Jane Doe says she is a school nurse. She says in the first 22 days of the school year, without any COVID-19 policies, they had more coronavirus cases than 180 days last year when there were masks and social distancing. In fact, she says because of the school administration, there are actually better protocols for handling the flu than coronavirus.

Parent Christina Cabral doesn't know who Jane Doe is, but says she is on the money.

"We've got many parents that are concerned in the community that both work in the community in various positions in schools, daycares [and] hospitals that are all seeing very much the same thing." Cabral said.

The school district has not commented in the past and has not responded to the latest filing. No date has been set for a judge to hear the arguments.
