Dallas (1080 KRLD) - Assisted by US Marshals, Dallas Police detectives have arrested a murder suspect after he fled to Tennessee. This comes after a 17-year-old was murdered on the evening of March 31st in Dallas.
The victim, Demajai Oliver, was struck by several vehicles on 8200 John Carpenter Frwy at 10:30 p.m. according to Police. Subsequently pronounced dead at the scene, Oliver's death was later attributed to homicide through the ensuing investigation.
Then, on April 12th, wanted on a robbery warrant Demario Montague was arrested by an outside agency. Police say they then interviewed Montague as a person of interest in a Dallas homicide, before tracking him as he fled to Tennessee.
Montague was later arrested on May 13th by the Dallas PD detectives and US Marshals and taken into custody without incident for the murder of Oliver by the US Marshals Memphis team.
