Yesterday, The Big 12 made another effort to keep Texas and Oklahoma from bolting to SEC.
Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby and two other members of the league's executive committee met with OU president Joe Harroz and UT president Jay Hartzell.
Bowlsby simply called the meeting "cordial" and said "I expect that we will continue our conversations in the days ahead."
Last week, reports leaked that both Texas and Oklahoma had made overtures to join the Southeast Conference after more than a quarter-century in the Big 12.
ESPN reports the two universities will announce their intentions today.
