Celina police are investigating after a woman was killed in her home Monday afternoon.
Authorities say 53-year-old Karl Andrew Stanley of Plano broke into the residence on Seattle Slew Drive and attacked the victim, who later died at the scene. Police quickly arrested Stanley, who is now facing a capital murder charge.
Investigators confirmed the suspect and victim knew each other but have not released her identity or a motive. Stanley remains in the Collin County Jail, also facing a stalking charge.
Jail records indicate that Stanley was arrested just a few days ago on a criminal trespass charge.
