"While I played I never really had a chance to come out and enjoy the parade, so this is my first time going," said Nowitzki. "What a fitting way...the 41st year. I'm super excited. The parade raises money every year for Dallas ISD seniors. We have a goal in mind - that's $41,000."

The parade was cancelled in 2020 and 2021 because of concerns about spreading COVID-19. This year's event will start at 11:00am on Saturday, March 12th.

The parade and the surrounding party are expected to draw 125,000 people to the area and to provide a big boost to nearby businesses. There will also be a concert featuring the Toadies.
