Dallas County commissioners approved a couple contracts, they hope will make registration for the vaccine easier and more efficient.

The commissioners approved a 12-month contract with Chime Solutions for a COVID-19 Vaccination Registration Call Center. 50 representatives, half of which will speak English, will be operating from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Commissioner John Wiley Price says this was much needed.

"We will be getting reports on who they are calling and who is responding. We will also know in fact who is holding on those lines," he says.

The program will cost $4.3 million dollars.

The commissioner also approved a roughly $600,000 contract for a totally paperless registration system, which will electronically track all those who have registered for a vaccine, and put their names in a data base.
