The situation began Tuesday night just before 9:30 p.m. All police would say is that they had a shooting suspect barricaded in a house on San Leandro drive, about a mile from the Dallas Aboretum.

When the standoff ended around 5 a.m. Wednesday police confirmed the suspect is the bicyclist they've wanted to bring in for questioning about a ride-by shooting on Forest Hills Boulevard, seven blocks from his mother's home where he was barricaded all night.

The bicyclist allegedly fired a handgun into a car last week on Forest Hills Drive, but no one was hit. The bicyclist just kept on going.
