Dallas Police are out with a warning for residents about another telephone scam happening locally.
Police say this time the scam involves criminals spoofing the main Dallas Water Utilities number.
Police say the scammers are using scare tactics on current customers, scamming them into thinking their residential water will be shut off if they don't make an immediate payment.
Police want to make sure everyone knows the Dallas Water Department does not call customers directly who are late on their bill. They will only send them a notice in the US mail.
