The Dallas Stars are one step closer to their Stanley Cup dream after a thrilling Game 7 victory over the Colorado Avalanche, securing a 4-2 win at American Airlines Center.

The Stars, led by a hat-trick performance from Mikko Rantanen, staged a dramatic third-period comeback to eliminate Colorado and advance to the Western Conference Semifinals.

Their next challenge comes against the Winnipeg Jets, who edged out the St. Louis Blues in double overtime to claim their own Game 7 victory.

The Stars will begin the series on the road at Canada Life Centre on Wednesday, facing a Jets squad that finished the regular season with the best record in the NHL.

Dallas has been fueled by standout performances from Roope Hintz, Wyatt Johnston, and Tyler Seguin, while goaltender Jake Oettinger has remained a steady force between the pipes.

The Stars have reached the Western Conference Final in each of the past two seasons, but this year, they are determined to take the next step and bring the Stanley Cup back to Dallas for the first time since 1999.
