Denton County is holding a public meeting today on its Hazard Mitigation Plan.

Officials say public input will help them analyze potential hazards and figure out how to minimize their harm. The meeting will cover the county's response plan for a broad range of hazards, including tornadoes, winter storms, hail, floods, droughts and wildfires.

The meeting is set to kick off today at 5:30 p.m. at the Denton County Courthouse.

A public participation survey can also be taken online here.
