Dallas senior citizens will soon be able to get Coronavirus vaccinations at home. The program is aimed at adults with disabilities and elderly, home-bound Dallas County residents.

The plans is to begin with people already served by Meals on Wheels and shots will be administered by Dallas Fire-Rescue and the Visiting Nurse Association of Texas.

They'll use the Johnson and Johnson one-dose vaccine.

A spokesman for the Nurse Association says they're intending to get to about 70 people a day, for up to six days a week, beginning next week.

This is on top of the state-wide Save Our Seniors effort where National Guardsmen also visit home-bound elderly to administer the vaccines.
