Drought, wildfires, severe storms and tornadoes. Spring in Texas has definitely brought a lot to the table this year already, so what's next? Peter Geiger with the Farmers' Almanac joined the KRLD Afternoon News to discuss what to expect for the rest of the spring and into summer.

"Spring is actually the weirdest season of them all," says Geiger. He explains that according to the Farmer's Almanac, this spring was predicted to be wetter than normal and that summer would be 'broilingly hot.'

Geiger also says that the storms on Monday were actually expected for this time of year. When it comes to the month of April, he says it's definitely looking to be the "most interesting" of the spring months.

He describes April as being "thundery" with dangerous thunderstorms predicted from the 12th thru the 15th. Thunderstorms, in general, are predicted for the month of April and even into May.

When it comes to summer as a whole, Greg says "I would not get my hopes up for tremendous amounts of precipitation for the summer."
