The Duncanville School District is changing up the way kids carry their stuff to class when school restarts on Monday.

The district says all students must use clear backpacks to carry their books and supplies. That goes for every student from pre-Kindergarten, to elementary school, and even through high school.

Duncanville ISD officials say it's for an extra layer of security on campuses. Teachers have to be able to see through anything that a student is carrying, including purses and totes.

The school district started passing out free clear backpacks last month. The school has set up a page on their website for more information.
