Three North Texas high school baseball teams made the UIL state title game in their classes Saturday and two of them brought home the championship hardware.

In Class 6A, the Flower Mound Jaguars won their second-ever state championship in baseball, and their first since 2014.

Playing Pearland at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, the underdog Jags bested the Oilers 6-4.

North Texas teams have won six of the eight Class 6A baseball titles since the category was created in 2015.

The Boyd Yellowjackets brought home the trophy in Class 3A, beating Wall High School 6-4 in Saturday's championship game, also at Dell Diamond.

Boyd jumped out to an early lead and held on as the Wall Hawks plated runs in the 6th and 7th innings but fell short. This is Boyd's first-ever state baseball title.

However, the Argyle Eagles lost a heart-breaker in their Class 5A title game Saturday. Down three-nothing in the bottom of the 7th, the Eagles scored two and had the tying and winning runs on base with two outs when Magnolia West centerfielder Jackson Blank made a fine running catch to end the Eagles' comeback dream.
