Flower Mound police believe the man who broke into a mosque and stole money meant for victims of the Turkey earthquake, has done the same thing before.
Flower Mound police said it was Muhammad Khan, who sawed through a door and then pried open the back of boxes at the Islamic Association of Lewisville-Flower Mound mosque, that were used to collect donations for Turkey earthquake victims.
Investigators said Kahn broke into the Islamic Society of Denton, about a year and a half ago, and once again broke into donation boxes, making off with at least $4,000.
Khan lives in Virginia, but was eventually brought to Denton County, to face charges. He has a court hearing set in Denton for March.
Police said Khan is still on the loose and may be driving a white 2022 VW SUV with Virginia license plate UYZ-5770.
