From blockbusters to indie films, you've got a chance to see a flick in the theater for just $4 this Sunday, August 27.
It's National Cinema Day, and more than 3,000 theaters nationwide are participating.
"All movies, all formats, all showtimes, all day are just four bucks," says Bryan Braunlich, executive director of The Cinema Foundation.
Following the trailblazing success of its inaugural edition last year, The Cinema Foundation is expecting an even bigger turnout.
"Last year was our first year, which brought over 8.1 million cinema-goers to the box office. This year we're back with more titles and more exciting stuff!" Braunlich says.
The concern over the demise of in-person movie watching has been silenced this summer by the huge success of blockbusters like Barbie. According to BoxOfficeMojo, Barbie has brought in $566 million domestically this summer.
The "Barbenheimer" phenomenon of moviegoers seeing both Barbie and Oppenheimer on the same day has also added to the excitement.
To buy tickets or see a list of participating theaters visit NationalCinemaDay.org, and your local movie theater's website or app.
