Grapevine man charged for his part in riot at US Capitol free on bail

A Grapevine man who was charged for his part in the violence at the US Capitol last week is free on bail this morning.

According to federal officials 53-year old Larry Brock has to wear an ankle monitor, has to remain on home confinement and cannot be around weapons. Those are some of the conditions for being allowed to remain out of jail on bond.

Brock surrendered to federal officials last weekend after they got a warrant for his arrest, based on an identification made by his ex-wife.

Brock was seen on the US Senate Floor with his military clothing, wearing a helmet and holding zip ties during the riots that shut down Washington D.C. and damaged the US Capitol building.

But US Magistrate Jeffrey Cureton noted Brock was not armed. And taking into account Brock's military service, the judge rejected the Government's claim that Brock posed a danger and was a risk to flee.
