This is an app that's designed with your feet in mind.
When you're walking through a city, the Waze app or other maps apps might not be the best ones to use. They're geared more toward… cars.
This is a walking maps app. It gives you directions like the others, but it's meant for pedestrians.
It lets you actually look around at what you're seeing, without trying to make sure you get to a destination in the car.
The screen shows you a giant arrow to let you know which direction you should be walking.
You get to where you want to go without the necessity of following a locked-in path.
It's not turn-by-turn, just a big ol' arrow to show you where to walk and when you might want to consider turning left or right.
It gives you how far you are from a place and what direction it is.
That's it. Big arrow, direction, and distance.
Walk Well Beyond is a free app on iTunes. It has a subscription model to get more data about your walks.
