The Lewisville City Council will discuss the future of its short-term rental regulations at a meeting Monday night as the city’s ban nears its expiration.
The ban, which took effect in July 2024, required short-term rental operators to pay hotel occupancy taxes. Since the regulations began, the number of permitted short-term rental units has dropped from more than 100 to just over 70.
Council members are expected to review potential changes to location restrictions and the maximum number of permits that can be issued.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Lewisville City Hall and is open to the public.
