A Parker County man is facing animal cruelty charges after a dog was found dead on his property.
The Parker County Sheriff's Office said Levi Tenbrink, 38, of Millsap went out of town over the weekend and left his three dogs outside in scorching hot conditions.
"He had some kennels out in the yard, just chainlink kennels," said Sheriff Russ Authier. "They had no cover, no shade, and then the water was inadequate."

A concerned neighbor called the sheriff's office, and deputies found one of the dogs dead and the other two dogs in distress.
"A necropsy indicated it was heatstroke and dehydration," Sheriff Authier said of the dog that died.
As for the other two, "As far as I know, they're doing better," Authier said. "I hope they're going to make a full recovery."
Authier said like humans, dogs cannot survive in scorching hot conditions for an excessive amount of time.
"When you're talking 102, 105 degrees with no shade, and then if they knocked their water bowl over (so that) they can't hydrate, it can get bad really quick," Authier said.
Tenbrink has been charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals.
