A man is now locked up in Dallas, accused in the murder of a former friend on Halloween night.
Dallas Police say a man named Jasmond Sanchez was shot and killed at a home on Coombs Street about a mile from Fair Park.
Police determined that Sanchez and Kevontre Jones were fighting just before Sanchez was shot several times. He died Sunday night at the hospital.
Jones told detectives he shot Sanchez in self-defense. He is now behind bars at the Dallas County jail on a murder charge.
