A large grass fire is out in Midlothian where the fire department confirms no one was hurt and no structures were threatened.

The fire broke out Tuesday around 3:00 p.m. in a grassy, brushy area north of the Ashgrove Cement Plant on Gifco Road west of Highway 67.

Midlothian fire crews had help from more than a half-dozen neighboring fire departments and were able to contain the burned over area to near 100 acres.
