The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office says a murder suspect who was on the run after she removed her ankle monitor has been captured.

The sheriff's office said 35-year-old Lisa Mitchell, wanted for allegedly selling fentanyl in North Richland Hills to someone who died, has been captured after cutting off her court-ordered ankle monitor nearly a week ago.

Mitchell was located and taken into custody by TCSO Warrant Deputies following a focused investigation supported by tips from the public. She was arrested without incident and transported to the Tarrant County Jail, where she is now in custody.

Mitchell has originally bonded out on the murder charge with conditions, one of those conditions being an ankle monitor. She now has additional charges related to removing the ankle monitor.

In a press release, the Sheriff’s Office extended its appreciation to community members whose information assisted in this case, as well as to the deputies whose diligent police work led to Mitchell’s capture.
