Several North Texas cities were the site of "No Kings" protests in opposition to policies from the Trump administration.

"At the end of the day, our voices must be heard," said a protester who showed up at a Saturday protest in Arlington. "We have to do it on our own to make sure our voices are heard, regardless."

In Dallas, protesters marched from the main gathering outside Dallas City Hall.

"I'm pro-America and anti-Trump," one man said.
"Since 1776 we have been a democracy and we need to stay a democracy."

Demonstrations were held north of Dallas and Fort Worth including in both Frisco and Denton.

"I feel like I'm out here representing the people that feel the same way," said a woman who showed up in Frisco. "I want you to know that it's okay."

"I think it's great that we're here peacefully together with love and not a show of force," said a Denton demonstrator. "I think we will win because love conquers hate."

There were some counter-protesters who showed up in support of President Donald Trump and Trump administration policies, including deportation efforts.

"It's an anti-U.S. immigration enforcement rally," one counter-protester said. "Trump won on this platform to enforce the laws that Biden and his people didn't enforce for four years."
