A North Texas hospital is trying to get ahead of the numerous sledding accidents that are happening across the region.
Cook Children’s Hospital is urging those out sledding to take precautions, so they don’t end up in the hospital.
“Cook Children’s treated more than 35 children for sledding-related injuries this weekend, with children as young as 2 years old,” the hospital reported in a statement. “Injuries included bone fractures, head and facial trauma and internal organ lacerations.”
They say always to wear a helmet, never be pulled behind a vehicle, don’t sled on pool equipment, and avoid sledding down slick city streets.
