The Texas Medical Board has suspended the license of a North Texas psychiatrist who has been indicted for violent crimes.

In suspending David Henderson's medical license, the Texas Medical Board said it determined that his continuing to practice poses a threat to public welfare.

The decision comes after Henderson was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Henderson is the founder of mental health consulting practice Four Stones Collaborative and was an associate professor of psychiatry for the TCU School of Medicine.

According to a Dallas County arrest affidavit, Henderson was arrested earlier this year in the parking lot at North Park Mall, and officers recovered two guns and 3,000 rounds of ammunition.

Henderson is currently being held without bond in the Dallas County jail.

The Texas Medical Board says his license suspension is indefinite.
