An owl trapped in a Burleson home is now flying free.

The bird got stuck inside the home Thursday and was not able to find its way out.

When the owl flew into a bathroom, the homeowners closed the door to keep it there while they called for help.

Burleson police and the Burleson Animal Shelter responded to capture the owl safely and set it free outside where it belongs.

As Burleson police put it, "we've come across a lot of animals on this job. But this one's a hoot."
