A Parker County man is behind bars after allegedly holding his ex-girlfriend captive against her will.

Glenn Gravely, 44, of Parker was arrested earlier this week.
The ordeal started at around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, December 17.
"He showed up at her house (near Springtown) unannounced to her," says Sheriff Russ Authier, "And when she went in, he confronted her, and things kind of went south. He wanted to get back together with her, and she didn't want anything to do with him."
Gravely then allegedly held his ex-girlfriend captive for several hours inside her own home.
"He assaulted her, abused her and held her captive," says Sheriff Authier. "It was quite horrific."
The woman tried escaping that night, but Gravely caught up to her and dragged her back to the house.
She finally escaped the following morning with the help of her stepson.
"I think she might have been late for work, and I guess he figured something out," says Sheriff Authier. "(He) pried a window open, and she escaped through that window, and they went and called for help."
Following an extensive search, deputies found Gravely two days later as he was walking in the area.
"He had a blue warrant - a parole warrant is what they call them - and we arrested him on that," Authier says, "and then we subsequently filed our local charges on him and added those to his caseload."
The new charges include aggravated kidnapping, felony assault and sexual assault.
Given the size of his bond, Gravely will likely be celebrating Christmas behind bars.
"The total is about a half-million dollars," says Authier, "so I think he's going to be our resident for quite some time."
